Curriculum
As part of my work with OurVenture, an educational initiative dedicated to immersive, story-rich learning, I designed and illustrated a series of activity book spreads for Meet the Voyageurs—a history curriculum exploring French fur traders in early America.
This project invited young learners to step into the world of the voyageurs through interactive storytelling, culturally informed graphics, and age-appropriate historical insights. I developed original illustrations and layout designs that evoke the rugged beauty of North America’s riverways while highlighting themes of exploration, trade, and daily life in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, I created custom visual assets—such as river maps, gear icons, and character portraits—that support both engagement and comprehension. The spreads are designed to be both visually rich and pedagogically sound, balancing educational depth with a spirit of adventure.
Directories
I worked with the committee members of St. Michael Lutheran Church to create this 40-page booklet documenting the church's history and congregation in honor of its one-hundred-and-fiftieth anniversary. I designed the look and feel to mirror that of the one-hundred-year anniversary book. Using Adobe Illustrator, I created original vector art for the cover directly inspired by drone images of St. Michael Lutheran Church.
I utilized Adobe InDesign for the layout and creation of this booklet and Adobe Illustrator for the cover and vector graphics.
My responsibilities in this role also included content collection/creation, photo restoration, and communication with our remote printing company, all the while working within budget constraints.
Activity Books
Here, I collaborated with the founding team of Adventure Stamps, a Traverse City-based company, to actualize their concept of vintage stamp activity booklets.
Within this branding initiative, I designed 21 unique sticker motifs and crafted two distinctive book covers. These designs were central to the brand's goal of fostering familial bonds through the joy of timeless entertainment.

The project entailed the creation of two compact-sized books: one dedicated to summer-themed activities and the other focusing on travel-related pastimes.
Leveraging Adobe Illustrator, I meticulously crafted bespoke artwork for the sticker designs, tailoring color palettes to complement each unique setting.
This suite also included custom map icons that align with the brand's design and mission. I created these graphics using Adobe Illustrator.
To help inform local businesses and investors about the scope of the Adventure Stamps activity book project, I designed a styled PDF marketing pitch.
